 3.Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER): The Assembly Line .

There are two types: Rough ER (studded with ribosomes) and Smooth ER. The Rough ER helps fold and transport proteins, while the Smooth ER focuses on making lipids (fats) and detoxifying chemicals.
